Lessons

I am happy to give private lessons to riders local to me. Please contact me for details.

During lessons I focus on developing the rider’s understanding and feel for the correct use of the horse’s back and work on developing a secure connection between the horse’s hindlimbs and the rider’s hands. Many riders know the feeling they need to achieve, as they have felt it for brief moments, however they cannot re-create it consistently. An understanding of what is actually happening in your horse’s body when he is connected/ on the bit, and how your aids influence the horse’s posture benefits you greatly in achieving a more consistent connection and progressing in your riding career.

I can give my PowerPoint presentation to riding clubs and other groups separately from a clinic if desired.

I truly believe every rider can benefit from a better understanding of biomechanics and I wish I had learnt about it many years ago.
